Outdoor living FAQs

What’s the difference between a three-season and a four-season room?

A three-season room is enclosed but typically not insulated or heated, so it’s comfortable from spring through fall. A four-season room is insulated and heated like the rest of your home, so you can use it year-round.

Can you enclose my existing porch or deck?

Often, yes. We check whether the existing structure and footings can support walls, windows and a roof, then reinforce or rebuild what’s needed.

Do I need a permit for a deck or porch?

Most decks, porches and enclosed rooms in Southeast Michigan require a permit. We pull the permits and schedule the inspections for you.

When is the best time to plan an outdoor project?

Late fall and winter are great times to design and get permits, so construction can start as soon as the weather allows and your space is ready for summer.
